The app says “On-device unavailable” — Apple Intelligence requires iOS 26 or newer on a supported iPhone (iPhone 15 Pro / Pro Max or any iPhone 16 model and newer). If your device qualifies, open iOS Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri and turn it on. The model may take a few minutes to download.
Recording finished but the session isn’t showing up — Pull down on the Sessions tab to refresh, or kill and reopen the app. If the session is still missing, the recording may have been too short for iOS to save (try at least 2 seconds).
The cue card text is hard to read on certain themes — Tap Settings → Theme and pick another theme. Light themes use light text on the recording overlay; dark themes use the same.
Burn-in failed — Open a session detail screen and tap “Burn prompts into video” to retry. The exact error message will appear if it fails. Most common cause: the original video file moved or was deleted.
Photos export shows “Permission needed” — iOS Settings → Interview My Kid → Photos → choose “Add Photos Only” (or “Full Access”).
